Brazilian Blow Dry Treatment

Lots of women struggle with unruly hair every day and are desperate for a solution to make their more manageable. Unruly or frizzy hair tends to be curly; therefore using straightening irons tends to be the most popular way to tame locks. However, straightening irons warm up to very high temperatures in order to get the best results and frequent use of heat on the hair can be very damaging. Most people are familiar with relaxing or straightening treatments but these treatments often use harsh chemicals that can damage the hair and leave it looking limp and lifeless.

The Brazilian Blow Dry treatment is a great alternative for someone wanting to smooth and straighten their hair as it doesn’t use harsh chemicals and can actually improve the condition of the hair. However, before making the decision to undergo the treatment it is important to be aware of the pros and cons associated with it to make sure that it is for you.

If you are looking to relax and straighten your hair without exposing it to harmful chemicals then the Brazilian Blow Dry treatment could be for you. The treatment uses keratin to soften and smooth the hair which is a natural protein that is already present in the hair strand. Other straightening treatments can sometimes do more harm than good and leave the hair looking unnaturally straight, dull and flat. The Brazilian Blow Dry does not completely straighten the hair leaving the hair with some volume and movement so the result is as natural-looking as possible.

With other straightening treatments there are strict rules on how many times you can undergo the treatment because of the damage it can do to your hair. For example, if you have already had one form of straightening treatment you may not be able to have another one done over the top of it. Some salons do not allow colour treated or badly damaged hair to be treated either. With the Brazilian Blow Dry, the process actually works better on damaged hair. So even if you have had your hair coloured or treated in the past you can still have a Brazilian Blow Dry. You do not need to worry about your hair type either as the treatment is suitable for all types, regardless of a person’s ethnicity.

With chemical straightening treatments, the main disadvantage is the damage that can be inflicted on to the hair. However, instead of drying the hair out, the keratin treatment will actually provide moisture which can last for up to 6 months. The Brazilian Blow Dry not only straightens curly hair but it also eliminates frizz and leaves the hair shiny, silky and more manageable than ever before due to the keratin.

However, there are some disadvantages that are worth bearing in mind before deciding to go ahead with the treatment. The biggest downfall of the Brazilian Blow Dry is the price. The cost of doing the entire head of hair usually ranges from about £200 to £400 depending on the length and thickness of the hair. The price may also vary from salon to salon and you may have to pay around £75 for retouches as the hair grows.

After having the treatment you will need to keep you hair dry for up to four days so that the solution can set properly. You will also need to keep your hair free from ridges so this will involve keeping your hair down and not putting the hair behind the ears or wearing a hat or a headband. The Brazilian Blow Dry is not suitable for pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding.

There are both pros and cons associated with the Brazilian Blow Dry and whilst the treatment may be ideal for some it may not be suitable for others.
